Hawaiki are in the telecommunications infrastructure business and needed to react quickly to a new opportunity requiring incorporation in Australia and USA.
Hawaiki’s transoceanic telecommunication infrastructure linking Australia and New Zealand to Hawaii and the United States heralds a new era of international connectivity, bringing socio-economic benefits for businesses and consumers across the Pacific region.
Hawaiki needed to execute an international expansion rapidly from New Zealand to both Australia and the USA to commence work on its project to build a 15,000km subsea telecommunication cable across the pacific.
We needed help to navigate the complexities and challenges of Australia’s corporate regulatory environment so we could focus on our major telecommunications infrastructure project.
With the capability to set up a fully operational company in under four weeks, Acclime was able to work quickly to support Hawaiki’s Australian roll out. Since the initial company incorporation, we have provided a range of compliance and governance services, including an Australian Resident Director and company officers, and a range of tax and accounting services.
With the support of an experienced Resident Director and Acclime’s responsive team of compliance and finance specialists, our expansion has been seamless.
We have supported Hawaiki from breaking first ground in New Zealand in late 2016 to commencing commercial operations in 2018, and beyond. Hawaiki has since scaled up extensive operations in Australia, including the establishment of a state-of-the-art Network operations Centre in Sydney. With a projected life cycle of 25 years, the network will connect over 350 million consumers in Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, Hawaii and continental United States.
Acclime have been a reliable and trusted partner for over three years now and we’ve had peace of mind knowing that our Australian business is always running smoothly.
